Save the Date: Third Harvest: Friday November 26th, 2021.
If you didn’t manage to get to Second Harvest – you can still read the Program – which has lots of interesting snippets about our Cultivators, as well as some powerful SeedCounting.
There were 40 applicants; 28 signed agreements were returned, and 26 participants participated in Bootcamp #3. These were the usual mix of agritourism, food and drink producers from around the State, including King Island and the East Coast.
After a terrific Bootcamp #3 with 26 businesses from all over Tassie, including King Island and the East Coast (see later on in this Leaflet), we received Cultivate pitch videos from 18 businesses (some from Bootcamps 1 and 2). We apply strict selection criteria for Cultivate, because the intense 6 month program is not for the faint hearted. We have selected 13 businesses to become Cultivate Cohort Group #3.
Have a read of the latest edition of The Leaflet – edition 8.
The Seedlab Team have been having quite a few conversations with stakeholders and sponsors as we set our sights on helping Tasmanian businesses thrive and recover from COVID-19 and the year that was.
Bootcamp #3 is ready to sprout! This is the third and final round of Bootcamp (with current funding).
Woolworths recently hosted Seedlab Woolworths Tassie Taste & Talks Pitch Fest.
One of the most valuable parts of Seedlab is “Live in Conversation” where a Global Guru/Local Legend (as we call them) comes to Seedlab HQ and has a cuppa and chat with me, with our Seedlabbers zooming in and asking questions.
We’ve had some truly terrific Masterclasses and Workshops in Seedlab, on topics as diverse as Sustainable Packaging, Virtual Reality Supermarkets and consumer testing, with many more to come.
We ran a “How to Ferment Sensational Table Olives” Workshop with Quantal Bioscience at Freshfield Grove recently.
Our Cultivators continue to grow, with new products being developed, tested, branded, packaged and presented to buyers (and listed!). New workshops, art trails and expansions are happening all the time.
Here’s a summary of some:
